About YGC Junior

Yarl Geek Challenge Junior is a school-level tech competition organized by Yarl IT Hub to encourage school children to use their creativity and create tech solutions.

This year's competition is based on the following areas: Software, Robotics and Application of Science. Students are free to select any of the above areas to develop their applications. Students are encouraged to form teams within their own schools and use their creativity to develop applications.

Category 1

Software

Create innovative software applications, mobile apps, web platforms, or games that solve real-world problems or enhance learning experiences.

Category 2

Robotics

Design and build robots or automated systems that can perform specific tasks, solve challenges, or demonstrate innovative engineering concepts.

Category 3

Application of Science

Apply scientific principles and methods to create practical solutions, conduct experiments, or demonstrate innovative applications of scientific knowledge.

What is YGC Junior?

Who can participate in YGC Junior?

YGC Junior is open to school students in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. Students are encouraged to form teams within their own schools and use their creativity to develop applications.

What categories are available in YGC Junior?

YGC Junior competition is based on three areas: Software, Robotics, and Application of Science. Students are free to select any of these areas to develop their applications.Yearly specifics will be on the particular year's prospectus.

How do we register for YGC Junior?

Students can register their teams through our registration portal. Each team should be formed within their own school and should select which category they want to compete in.
